Help Desk Engineer II

Implementing Technologies, LLC is looking for an experienced Helpdesk Engineer II with 5 years of IT experience.   Our helpdesk team prides itself on its excellent end user relationships and quick response times.  This is a high growth opportunity; the ideal candidate’s role will quickly expand to that of a System Engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and basic network problems and escalate as necessary.
  • Set up equipment for end-user use, performing or ensuring proper installation of operating systems and appropriate software.
  • Resolve basic issues within Active Directory, Exchange, Windows Server, Cisco IOS, & Citrix
  • Perform basic services such as PC installations, repairs and upgrades.
  • Travel as necessary to onsite troubleshoot or install equipment.
  • Participate in a rotational after-hours, weekend and holiday on-call duty.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize work at hand and work flexible hours, if needed.
  • Must be able to travel within the country and region as needed.

Required Skills:

  • 5 years working in a team environment with a focus on customer service.
  • 2-3 years hands on experience with Microsoft server & desktop operating systems, various software troubleshooting, installation, configuration and upgrades.
    • 3-5 years experience with LAN/WAN network technologies.
    • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
    • Windows Operating Systems, MS Office,  MS Print Server
    • Must be able to work independently with little supervision.

Highly Desired:

  • Ability to work with users at all levels
  • Windows Server Operating Systems, Exchange 2007/2010, Citrix Xen, VMware
  • Strong networking background (Cisco IOS, switching, ASA routers, Cisco WLAN controllers)

 


Programmer / Developer

The ideal candidate will assume an active role in application development – from initial business analysis and design, through implementation and support. You will design, build, integrate, and deliver desired application architecture as identified and documented by the project team.

The successful candidate will be involved in the development of tools and applications that support the company’s goal of collecting, integrating, analyzing, and presenting data from a wide array of sources.

Responsibilities:

  • You will have top level ability to extract specifications, to design and develop or modify complex software in a modern object oriented environment.
  • Designs, codes, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs.
  • Applications generally deal with original program development and support of locally developed programs.
  • Competent to work on all phases of software systems programming applications, and as a member of a larger programming team.
  • Successful candidate must be familiar with distributed computing environment, modern computer software architectures and advanced software practices.
  • The candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter who can work effectively in a dynamic environment where goals and specifications are constantly changing.
  • You must possess highly effective communication skills.
  • The candidate will work closely with the project leaders and other members of the team to quickly prototype possible approaches to problem solutions, and then implement the final solution.

Required skills:

  • Extensive, hands-on professional experience in Object Oriented Application architecture and programming (design and development).
  • At least 3 yrs Working experience with .NET • Development experience in C#
  • Familiarity with all phases of the software development life cycle (analysis, design, development, testing, deployment).
  • Sound knowledge and experience using Object Oriented design and development tools.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in modular programming methodologies.
  • Strong application design skills.
  • Ability to work on large-scale projects with many diverse contributors.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of database systems.
  • Strong knowledge SQL Server 2000/2005/2008
  • Good experience in database design

Minimum education/work experience:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience in healthcare a MUST
  • 3+ years In Developing Object Oriented Application using .NET 2.0
  • 5+ years experience as an application/software programmer or developer.
  • 5+ years progressive experience in Information Services

 

 

Senior Network Engineer

Our company uses a number of different technologies including Windows Server 2008, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange, and server virtualization. The ideal candidate will have experience with many of these technologies along with the ability to pick up new skills quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead implementation of complex local and wide-area networks of servers.
  • Manage a large (100+ servers) network of servers.
  • Works under general direction from management.
  • Establish and recommend policies on system use and services.

Required Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills; capable of writing proposals and documentation, acting as a vendor liaison, making presentations to customers or professional peers, and working closely with management.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and independently.
  • A solid understanding of server operating systems. Microsoft Active Directory structure and group policy.
  • A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts; understands principles of routing, client/server programming, the design of consistent network-wide filesystem layouts.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2000, 2003 and Linux.
  • Experience with Terminal services.
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2003 or greater, and Microsoft SQL 2000 or later is preferred.
  • Experience with Server virtualization is preferred.

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum three years of system administration experience.
  • Degree in computer science or a related field (or comparable job experience)
  • Computer programming background in any applicable language.
